In the next report… Japan! |
|
From Tokio, superlative city, inmense fabric, made up of remnant from a thousand towns, to Nagano, at the foothill of the Japanese Alps. From Sendai, the city of the trees, to Sapporo, Hokkaido capital, the second bigger island of the archipielago, homeland of the ainu ethnic group, or the other Japan. Come back to Tokyo to head south: Kyoto and Nara, or the most legendary Japan; Okayama, and the sophisticated debauchery; Hiroshima and the memories of one of the saddest episodes of the humanity; Beppu, the thermal city, in the most southern island. We invite you to travel across the country of the rising sun, and share the richness that turns out to be difficult to understand, although fascinating. Sometimes for being unknown, other times for being taken aback when facing the different interpretations, distortions, or reinventions of the same mutual influence.
